STEVENSON TRACT A River Runs Through It Explore a piece of Ontario’s reforestation legacy on the beautiful mixed forest trails of the 200 acre Stevenson Tract. Purchased by the County in 1951, this property was part of a province-wide effort to reforest fragile lands for the improvement of water quality, reduction of flooding and conservation of soil. Bi-sected by the Middle Maitland River and the Sunshine Creek, the Stevenson Tract features prime fish habitat, scenic canoeing, and some of the best hiking trails in the middle of the county . At the time of placing this hide, there are only a few recognized hiking trails in Huron County that do not have a cache. My mission is to change that. I am placing one on the east side and another on the west side of the river to encourage hiking both trails. Park where indicated just off Clyde Line . Take the trail to the left of the sign, across to the river. Be sure to put the cap back on tight to keep the log dry. Please try to leave everything as you found it I HIDE – YOU SEEK - IN THE RIGHT SPOT YOU MUST PEEK! . Congratulations tamkar on FTF.
The original cache has been moved a few meters following the rude greeting extended to Mrs StarBirds by the newly resident HORNETS.
