The first cache is located near the Mass Rock in Letterkenny. This was a place where the citizens of the area would celebrate mass in secrecy from the soldiers who were in charge of restricting the celebration of mass. These places were very important for the community and people's lives during this time. It was a place for religious practices, but also a place to build community. Today this site is a reminder of those times in Irish history and mass is still celebrated here at some points during the year.
Cache:
#1: The trail to the mass rock is a little muddy especially during rainy days. The cache is a small, slightly camoflauged box. Do not forget to look at the coordinates for the second part of this multi-cache!
#2: a small box. Parking at this location is kind of limited, so be wary of other cars and pedestrians.
