Geocache Description:

This field puzzle cache is located at a road side park along Hwy 50. There is plenty of room for parking. You’ll also find picnic tables and bbq grills. It is nice a nice place to stop and rest while on a long drive or to have a family picnic. While there, why not look for a geocache.

For the lucky first to find geocacher, I have included a FTF coin. It has not been activated.

Logs that have pictures of the monuments will be deleted.

Near the posted coordinates you will find two rock formations/memorials. You will need information from both formations to calculate the final coordinates.

The first formation has a square plaque attached to it. On it you will find a date in which this memorial was dedicated.

a = the third number of the year in which the memorial was dedicated

At the second formation you will find the elevation of the park engraved into the rock and an arrow with letters engraved in it.

b = the second number of the elevation

c = the number of letters engraved in the arrow

Once you have the numbers, follow the directions below to find the final coordinates.

To the posted coordinates, subtract “0.00a” from the minutes of the north coordinates.

To the posted coordinates, add “0.0bc” to the minutes of the west coordinates.
