With that in mind, I have created a mini series of caches that can be done collectively as part of a campus walk or can be done individually (ideal for staff and students nipping out at lunch time for a walk and cache). The caches locations are not of any particular interest or areas of beauty. The series has been created to introduce SurreyMoves participants to geocaching.
Due to University of Surrey’s security and safety policy, all caches are located off campus. The campus is open to the public and as such you can use the campus to get from one cache to another.
The Campus car parks are open to the public to park after 3pm week days and all weekend. Please do not park on campus outside these times as you will get a ticket.
The campus is busy all through the year, especially during term time. Please take care when caching and if challenged please be fully open and transparent.
Cache 1 – Welcome to the University
This is the first cache of the mini-series. This is a small clip lock box located just away from the main entrance to the Stag Hill Campus. Suitable for accompanied children but as it is off the main path. Be careful in wet weather as the unmade path will be muddy. Easy cache and dash.
