In addition, with heavy snow every winter, subsequent water flow from snow melt, trees falling in wind storms, lots of debris falling, and constant rot and regrowth, the landscape can change so much from year to year.
Every summer we camp for a few days at Trillium Lake. We kayak, fish, swim, and cook over a fire. And we always take a hike around the lake. This cache was hidden in the Day Use area during our 2017 hike around the lake. It was originally a toy robot with a logbook, but now it's just a snap-loc box.
We hope our trail of family-friendly Trillium caches endures. With heavy snow every winter, subsequent water flow from snow melt, trees falling in wind storms, lots of debris falling, and constant rot and regrowth, the foliage can change so much from year to year.
