This cache has been placed for the CARMH 8 event. The cache should not be located prior to 7 PM, Friday, Aug. 18th. The caches for the CARMH 8 event are released early so that the geocaching community has an opportunity to plan their routes prior to the event start.
You're going for an adventure along a river path. We used to enjoy watching this movie when we were kids, so we thought it would be fun to have a night cache based on the movie. We hope it brings back good memories for you too. Enjoy the trip!
You're going to start your adventure by parking near the starting coordinates. From there you'll find the first set of coordinates. Clue: If you remember from the end of the first movie, the Delorian/time machine used trash as fuel instead of plutonium. Look under for the first clue which will give you the coordinates.
Let your GPSr guide you to a place where you need your flashlights. Remember to hold your flashlight eye level. Follow the reflectors (up high) and the paths and enjoy the ride!
There will be a clue along the way for the final, be sure to keep it! You're near the end when you see two orange firetacks. When you reach the red reflector, stop and look around for two more red reflectors. Here is where you will find the clue about where to continue (see spoiler picture in Gallery). Please take only one clue. Use your geosenses to figure out what comes next! Once you reach the final, you will find another red reflector to help you narrow your search.
Remember to watch your step, there will be some tricky terrain along the way!
