This cache is a great excuse to visit your local library and see all the interesting services it offers in addition to just books. We take our sons here on a regular basis for books, movies, and a wide variety of fun little events. They have crafting classes, and even a 3D printer! We love Freeman.
This is a two-stage cache. Go to the posted coordinates and look at the sign there. You will see a five-digit number.
Imagine the digits in the following pattern.
ABCDE
You will use these digits to calculate the call number of the cache. To calculate the first part, solve by substituting the digits from the sign in the order shown above into this equation:
A + B + CDE = XYZ
To calculate the second part, reuse the digits and substitute them into this equation:
AB x C - D - E = UV
For both equations, you're going straight across, left to right; no weird order of operations stuff to worry about. The final call number will look like this.
XYZ.UV
Then all you need to do is enter the library and find the location of that call number. Inside the cache you will find the logbook and an assortment of bookmarks. Feel free to take one, but if you have one of your own you'd like to leave in exchange, that would be wonderful. Also take care when closing the cache to avoid damaging its contents. Finally, please put the cache back exactly where you found it, so that it is numerically where expected.
Since this is inside the library, obviously it's not a 24/7 cache. Here are the normal library hours. There will be exceptions for holidays and such, but this should be accurate 99% of the time.
