Your ascent begins at the Winsor trailhead located at the Santa Fe Ski Basin parking lot. A trailhead waypoint has been provided. Follow the Winsor Trail (#254) uphill to the Pecos Wilderness boundary fence. Walk through the gate entrance into the wilderness and IMMEDIATELY turn left heading 258°. Continue along the fence to the Ridgeline Trail waypoint. Additional Ridgeline Trail (RT) waypoints have been included to help keep you on the trail. As you near the summit, an exposed quartz vista 375ft North of GZ will provide you with a picture-perfect view of Santa Fe Baldy.
GZ is located outside the boundary of the Pecos Wilderness and just off the trail to avoid unwanted attention from muggles. You are looking for an ammo can with plenty of room for SWAG and trackables. A pencil case inside the cache holds pens, pencils, and markers for the log.
