Geocache Description:

Rexford Falls Park is a scenic overlook in Sherburne, NY. This is now a virtual cache since the physical cache has been muggled several time. There is no log book on site, but the coordinates take you to an interesting feature of the bridge. To get credit for the visit, post a creative story about how the object on the bridge at the coordinates got there. Do not mention what the object is, and do not go around citing the obvious or probable. Everyone may take a turn.

Harvey's story:

Harvey Dunbin was chased away from home by a larger troll. Records of events from 2872-2878 suggest that he traveled along the Mitheithel river. A bard who encountered Harvey in a remote part of the Trollshaws in 2883 (and was lucky enough to survive), described him thus:

"He was a forlorn creature, bereft of kin. In his travels, he had become curious about all the creatures he encountered, especially the smallest creatures around him. I pointed out that when he stopped stomping and looked back at his footprints, he had embedded tiny creatures in the earth. He discovered that lots of creatures could be uncovered by turning over rocks alongside the streambed he was following. Shapes within the rocks, suggestive of creatures no longer to be found, also fascinated him."

Harvey settled alongside a stream in Rhudaur where he could indulge his curiosity. For years the running water covered his sounds and smell from passersby. Alas for Harvey, one day in 2890 he chose the wrong prey and came to an end. Now, like the fossils in the rocks, signs of his existence may be found only by those who know where to look.

{This area is sometimes used for high-angle rescue team training; if you want to make this a rating of 5, go to Paddleford Park and follow the water upstream. Be aware, there's personal property along both banks, so you'd literally have to travel in the stream. Also, there's a short fence at the top of the banks around the Rexford Falls bridge, to prevent people from falling & getting hurt.}
