Im Jahre 1949 hat die Montecatini beim Staatsbauamt in Bozen ein Kraftwerksprojekt für Laas eingereicht, das die Wasserentnahme aller Nebengewässer des Laaser Baches und die Schaffung eines Staubeckens im Martelltal, mit einer Kapazität von 19 Mio. m³ Wasser vorsah. Dieses Großprojekt wurde genehmigt und im April 1949 im Amtsblatt der Republik veröffentlicht. Nur sechs Monate später wurde mit der Bauausführung begonnen. Die feierliche Inbetriebnahme des Laaser Kraftwerkes erfolgte im Jahre 1956. Im Laufe der Zeit kam es zu technischen Anpassungen und Erneuerungen, wobei das Kraftwerk selbst jedoch keine baulichen Umbauten erfuhr. Die Besonderheit dieses Kraftwerkes ist seine unterirdische Anbindung an den Stausee Zufritt.

Nel 1949, la Montecatini ha presentato un progetto di centrale elettrica a Lasa presso il "Staatsbauamt" a Bolzano, l'assunzione di acqua di tutti affluenti del torrente Lasa e la creazione di un serbatoio in Val Martello, prevedeva con una capacità di 19 milioni di metri cubi d'acqua. Questo importante progetto è stato approvato e pubblicato nell'aprile 1949 nella Gazzetta Ufficiale della Repubblica. Solo sei mesi più tardi ha iniziato i lavori di costruzione. La cerimonia di partenza della centrale di Lasa ha avuto luogo nel 1956. Nel corso del tempo, si è trattato di adeguamenti tecnici e lavori di ristrutturazione, ma la pianta in sé non ha subito modifiche strutturali. La particolarità di questa centrale è il suo collegamento sotterraneo al serbatoio Zufritt.

In 1949, the Montecatini submitted a power plant for Laas to the State Department of Bolzano in Bolzano, which provided for the abstraction of all the waters of the Laas brook and the creation of a dugout in the Martell Valley, with a capacity of 19 million cubic meters of water. This large-scale project was approved and published in April 1949 in the Official Gazette of the Republic. Only six months later, construction work began. The ceremonial commissioning of the Laaser power station took place in 1956. Over time, technical adjustments and renewals took place, but the power plant itself did not undergo any structural modifications. The special feature of this power station is its underground connection to the artificial lake inlet.
