Lotsberget är en härlig utsiktsplats för alla som vill se Dalarös skärgårdsmiljö från ovan. Här kan man se Dalarö hotell, Strand hotell, hamnen, och all båttrafik som far omkring i vattnet
När man går på en riktig långpromenad är Lotsberget en trevlig rastplats. Här kan man stanna till och njuta både av utsikten och den eventuellt medhavda matsäcken.
Hur har då Lotsberget fått sitt namn?
Lotsberget användes tidigare av lotsarna för att bevaka infarten av lotssökande fartyg. På berget finns en signalmast, en stormvarningsstation, där man hissade upp signaler i form av klot, kon och tratt, i olika kombinationer för att visa vindstyrka och vindriktning. Det var också lätt att härifrån upptäcka båtar som var i sjönöd eller bara behövde lotshjälp in till hamnen eller genom farleden.

Lotsberget is a lovely senic spot for anyone who wants to see Dalarö Archipelago from above. Here you can see "Dalarö hotel" and "Strand hotel", the harbor, and all the boat traffic that travels around the water.
When you go on a true long walk, Lotsberget is a nice resting place. Here you can stay and enjoy both the view and any food you bring with.
How did Lotsberget (directly translated: Pilot mountain) get its name?
Lotsberget was used earlier by the pilots (Lots) to monitor the entry of batch-seeking ships. On the mountain there is a signal tower, a storm warning station, where signals were raised in the form of globe, cone and funnel, in different combinations to show wind and wind direction. It was also easy to discover boats in distress, needed help to the harbor, or through the waterway.
