Bells Mill Park features footpaths through wetlands and meadows in open natural areas with elevated scenic views of Southern Branch of the Elizabeth River; Former Landfill with an environmental cap so no bikes or motorized vehicles are allowed. There is additional parking available across the street in the Civic Center – West parking lot. Dogs must be kept on leash at ALL times!
Who's ready for a scavenger hunt? The WHRO owl has been flying around Hampton Roads, dropping off geocaches in some of its favorite places. It's time to explore Hampton Roads by searching for the geocaches the WHRO owl has left behind. Which child (5 to 13 years old) will be the first to find all of the WHRO caches! Anyone else gets bragging rights! Bells Mill Park: After flying all around Hampton Roads, the WHRO owl saw this great place to stop and look around. So much to see...... beautiful wooded areas, the river, places to run and fly kites, geocaching, berry picking and so much more!
