Between the small village of Inchree and the Wades Road/Waterfall car park lies an area of "waste" ground. This ground is by no means wasteful, but is used by the local community to walk and enjoy the fresh air every day. All kinds of flowers, bushes, grasses and wildlife can also be found here. A path runs through this ground from a gate just prior to the forestry cottages, to the car park at the far end. The path can sometimes be muddy so use appropriate footwear. About half way across, an obvious track branches off towards the trees and the stream. This leads to a small overhung ford which is easily cross-able in walking boots much of the time. The cache is before the stream in a small, stout metal container. The owner of the cache invites you to leave a "word" in the cache (please add to your online log as well). The word might just be your favourite word ever (mine is "taghairm" for instance), a word that sums up your cache experience ("fiddly" for instance) or just how you felt at the time ("glorious" for instance)..... The choice is yours. If you decide to cross the shallow ford (carefully, with appropriate footwear in appropriate conditions) the track will lead you across another small meadow and then into more trees. Follow this path to a little known corner of Inchree - the path to the base of the Inchree waterfalls.
