PLEASE NOTE THAT AT THE REQUEST OF THE
NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, THE CACHES AT PARKERS BATTERY AND
DREWRY'S BLUFF HAVE BEEN REMOVED!
These Confederate earthworks were a major
impediment for Union forces at the end of the Bermuda Hundred
Campaign. It is now in a residential area, so be aware of others in
the area and re-hide the cache well!
We have placed a cache in each
of the four Civil War Era Batteries / Forts in owned by
Chesterfield County. http://www.co.chesterfield.va.us/Tourism/civilwarsites.asp.
Great care has been
taken to not disturb important archeological areas, so please do
not enter any area that has been marked off-limits to the
public.
