This cache is close to Buttermilk Falls State park. It's a nice hike on a good trail, until you start going uphill.

Cache In/Trash Out - Steep Hike

To begin hunting for the cache, you'll want to look for the little parking area just off of Rt 13, south of the blue overhead bridge, N42 24.979 / W076 31.654. Look for "Coreorgonel" sign at the parking area. The trail will be right in front of you. You are looking for a Guinea Pig food container (the picture on the container goes well with outdoors). This is a Fossil/Dinosur/Prehistoric cache. You will find some fossils and amber(fossil resin) in this cache. Most of the amber pieces have insects in them. If you want some amber or a fossil, please only take one so others can have a chance at getting a piece. Try to keep in the theme if you can. During the warm months you'll want to bring bug spray. Please hide it well after you find it. Enjoy! For more information on fossils in the area, check out the following site: Ithaca Fossils

Also, if you have a chance to poke around, take a tour of the Paleontological Research Institution. They have an great collection of fossils. For more information, their website is: Priweb

NOTE: Could be hard to find in winter.
