Find this geocache at one of the top tourist and local stops in Churchill. Enjoy a beautiful stroll to this geocache and watch the belugas playing in the summer, northern lights dancing in the winter and beautiful sunsets and sunrises anytime of year. There are signs along the way that show this is a Bear Area. Please be vigilant and do not travel alone to this location. This geocache is NOT located in the rocks on either side of the beach. There is quite a bit of traffic in this area so watch out for muggles.
The structure that you are to visit is called an Inuksuk. An Inuksuk is a man made stone landmark used by the Inuit and other indigenous peoples of the Artic. In Inuktitut, the tern inuksuk means "to act in the capactity of a human" and these structures are used as hunting and navigational aids, coordination points and message centres.
Cache is easy to find but might be a challenge to retrieve.
Happy hunting and please remember you are in the Polar Bear Capital of the World so be vigilant and safe.
