We were fortunate enough to have won a free 1 month Tae Kwon Do membership at this center and eventually had one of the kiddos join for a full year in 2016. Throughout the year we parked our car next to this tree and witnessed its entire 1 year cycle and the most enjoyable was during blooming season in Spring with its beautiful purple flowers.
However, with this trees beauty came a yucky smell. To some, it will smell like flowers and to others, it will smell like pee. Stale, old, pee. I is one of the unfortunate ones to smell this pee like tree and off he went to go find what the name of the tree was just for curiousity. The Jacaranda mimosifolia is what he found; aka the (Tae Kwon Do Pee Tree) as the scent and sight of the tree is now forever ingrained and associated to TKD. Well, for I it is.
Now onwards to the the first belt known as the White Belt in TKD. A student must learn the precept to move on to the next higher rank. Counting the first ten numbers in Korean along with forms.
