Maliseet Trail Sign Traditional Cache

This cache is placed in a small park by the Oromocto River in Fredericton Junction.  Please take a moment to read about the history of the Maliseet trade route to the Passamaquoddy Bay.

While we enjoy Smart phones that have more technology than the spacecraft that took Man to the Moon, the peoples of New Brunswick have been using the rivers and lakes to haul goods and supplies for centuries. With the opening of the port in St Andrews, an overland route was needed to reach the capital city of Fredericton.  This is part of that route.  You are looking for a bison tube.
