La Fortezza Medicea (nota anche come Forte di Santa Barbara) di Siena è un forte eretto nella città toscana tra il 1561 e il 1563, su ordine del duca di Firenze Cosimo I de' Medici.
La fortezza sorge in prossimità del quartiere senese di San Prospero, a fianco dello Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Edificata in origine con una forma a "L", la Fortezza Medicea fu successivamente trasformata nella struttura a quadrilatero come oggi si presenta. Su ogni angolo del forte, costruito in laterizi, si ergono imponenti bastioni cuneiformi, su tre dei quali è affisso lo stemma mediceo in travertino, sovrastante una testa di leone; sul bastione rivolto a sud, invece, è rimasta la sola testa di leone.

The Medicean Fortress of Siena (also known as Fort of Santa Barbara) is a fort erected in the Tuscan town between 1561 and 1563, according to the orders of the Duke of Florence Cosimo I de 'Medici.
The fortress is located near the Sienese district of San Prospero, next to Artemio Franchi Stadium.
Originally built with an "L" shape, the Medicean Fortress was later transformed into a quadrilateral structure as it is today. On every corner of the fort, built in bricks, there are imposing cuneiform ramparts, three of which are embossed with the travertine Medici coat of arms, dominating a lion's head; on the south-facing bastion, however, remained the only lion's head.
