Woodcock CITO: Building Bridges Cache In Trash Out® Event

cdparker1: Thank you to all the attendees that made it out on a bit of a dreary day to help make some trail improvements at the Woodcock Preserve. Two sections (7 sets of bridging each) of bog bridging were constructed and installed after hauling the components the rest of the way in by two teams and those that came in a bit later.

Those still around at the close of the event also helped mom to lay down some gravel and wood chips to help future visitors keep their feet drier and less muddy.

For those that did not make it out, come on out and pay a visit to grab some new caches laid out for the event and to inspect the new bridging on the blue trail.

Geocache Description:

Woodcock CITO: Building Bridges

Come join “Mom” and "dad" and myself for a day of preserve maintenance at the Woodcock Preserve in Clifton Park. You won't find much litter or rubbish but we do have some work in store for you!

Catch up with your caching friends from the past and meet some new ones as you work your way through the preserve. There will be a spot for trading trackables.

The event will take place from 9am-4pm. Lunch TBD.

Due to the limited amount of parking at the preserve, and the lack of a shoulder on Tanner Road, we will be posting some alternate parking locations as well as some suggestions for Park n Ride spots.

Bring some gloves and muscles and sturdy footwear.
