We stumbled across this bus in the Wyoming wilderness that strangely resembles the buss that Alexander Supertramp lived his summer in, and had to put a geocache at its location. You are searching for a 28 ounce camoflaged peanut butter container. The geocache is NOT inside the bus.
You will need a high clearance vehicle to access the cache location. 4WD might also be needed depending on what time of year you venture out this way. You will be required to cross an intermittent stream bed, so water might or might not be present when you do this. The two track is also heavily washed out at one point up and over a hill. Use common sense when driving to this location.
Alexander Supertramp hitch hiked to Alaska in April 1992. He hiked down the Stampede Trail until he came across a bus. He survived approximately 113 days in the Alaskan wild living off of the 10 pounds of rice he took with him and whatever edible roots, and berries he could forage. He also hunted some game with a rifle he took with him. His body was found on September 6th by moose hunters who had come across the bus and looked inside. **Caution** There is no need to go into the bus, though it is open and you can. There seems to be an abundance of rat droppings and rat nests inside the bus. Humans may become infected with hantaviruses through contact with rodent urine, saliva, or feces which are in great abundance inside the bus. I also found owl pellets, some kind of canine (cyote or fox) feces, and what appeared to be red tail hawk feathers. It is not recommended to go ingo the bus, geocachers do so at their own risk.
