Budapest egyik legújabb látványossága a Duna Aréna a 2017-es FINA Világbajnokság fő helyszíne és ékköve. Az úszó és vizes sportok világszínvonalú komplexumának – két olimpiai méretű medencével és a versenyek alatt több mint 12 000 nézőt meghaladó befogadóképességével – kivitelezése rekordidő alatt, kevesebb mint két év alatt valósult meg.
A Duna Aréna alapvetően két létesítményből áll: egy kb. 6000 fős befogadóképességű alapépületből és egy, a 2017-es FINA Világbajnokság idejére épülő, ideiglenes lelátókat és kiszolgáló létesítményeket magában foglaló időszaki létesítményből. Az alapépület úgy lett megtervezve, hogy az ideiglenes létesítmények utólagos elbontása után is méltó ékköve legyen Budapestnek és önmagában is ki tudja szolgálni a Magyar Úszó-, Vízilabda-, Szinkronúszó- és Műugró Szövetségek igényeit.
