Quadrophenia # 3 - 5:15 Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

MoDaRiMa: Three seasoned cachers (at three different times) went for this one recently and came up empty. It's gone, so I am archiving. I would have archived it soon anyway as part of GoLI’s commitment to help refresh the map per Bryan Roth of HQ's suggestion in a recent GeocacheTalk podcast. Thanks to all that visited!

Geocache Description:

QUADROPHENIA # 3 - 5:15

This is one of four Quadrophenia caches needed to obtain the coordinates for Quadrophenia BONUS (GC7ACT8) THE QUADROPHENIA BONUS CACHE HAS BEEN ARCHIVED

The Who's rock opera Quadrophenia is the story of Jimmy Cooper - a London teenager who's mind is fractured into 4 separate personalities. Like Jimmy, the Quadrophenia caches also reflect 4 separate personalities:

Traditional - Quadrophenia # 1 - The Real Me (GC7A434)

Mystery - Quadrophenia # 2 - Is It In My Head? (GC7AAWD)

Letterbox Hybrid - Quadrophenia # 3 - 5:15 (CG7ADR5)

Multi - Quadrophenia # 4 - Love, Reign O’er Me (GC7A49P)

It is not necessary to do the caches in order, but the cache descriptions follow Jimmy's journey.

Already questioning everything is his life, Jimmy snaps when he sees a girl he likes with his friend. Desperate and angry, Jimmy smashes his scooter and decides to take the train From London to Brighton - a seaside town where he can hang with his Mod friends and fight Rockers. The song 5:15 is about Jimmy's drug-fueled train ride and his disjointed recollection of his time in Brighton with the Mods.

Magically bored

On a quiet street corner

Free frustration

In our minds and our toes

Quiet storm water

M-m-my generation

Uppers and downers

Either way blood flows

Inside outside, leave me alone

Inside outside, nowhere is home

Inside outside, where have I been?

Out of my brain on the five fifteen

DIRECTIONS & DETAILS: Approach the cache from the West and park at the coordinates on the South side of Brooklyn Avenue (this way your vehicle will provide some cover as you search). The cache is roughly 4 feet from the start of the woods under an ivy covered fallen tree. The cache contents reflect Jimmy's train ride, including some ephemera that made its way through Brighton a long time ago. The ephemera is NOT SWAG! Please leave them in the cache so others can enjoy.
