On September 8, 1994, US Air Flight 427 crashed while arriving from Chicago. The crash site is in Hopewell Township in Beaver County. All 132 people on board were killed. (The nearest cache to the crash site is "It's Not a "Creek", It's a Crick" (see related page).)
Many of the people aboard the flight were from the Sewickley area and are buried in the Cemetery. Please come here and remember this event and the people who were lost while you picke up the cache. If you were living in this area that day, I'm sure you remember it,
The Cemetery is open during daylight hours. Do not attempt to cache after hours.
