Park as close as you can to the Reed Lakes parking area, and head down the wide, easy trail as if you were going to Reed Lakes. At about mile 1.5, turn away from the trail marked "Reed Lakes", heading left onto a brushier path. Only brushy at first, this trail soon starts climbing fairly steeply, till you come to the ruins of mine cabins, and then the weather-blasted remains of Snowbird Mine itself. Be careful as you poke around in the ruins - there are lots of rusty nails, rotted boards, etc. Soon after the mine buildings, you'll see a hanging valley, up a mossy boulder field to your right. Topping out above the boulder field, you'll be delighted by the lovely sight of Snowbird Tarn. On one end is the large boulder where "Sunny" is located. On the other end is a large rocky outcropping, with a cliff face that comes down to the water. The cache is located there. Since the signals can be bouncy in these mountains, I'll leave a generous hint.
