This is an amazing viewpoint of Collier Glacier flowing down between the North and Middle Sister Mountains. At the base of Collier Glacier is the small cinder cone - Collier Cone. Historically, Collier Cone formed after Collier Glacier. You can imagine the dramatic scene when Collier Cone erupted and came ripping through the center of Collier Glacier. An explosion of Fire and Ice (and water...). I hope you enjoy this incredibly special viewpoint of some of my favorite wilderness. Bring your breakfast, lunch, or dinner.... sit back and enjoy the view. Be sure to pack out all of your trash!
Please return the cache where and how you find it. Make sure it is tied in place, so it doesn't wash away in the snow each winter. Small pencil included, but you might want to bring your own writing utensil... pencil will dull fast. Let me know if it needs any help through a private message... I live fairly close by.
Due to the pass being closed each winter, this will not be accessible when the pass is closed.
