Come hang out in the 2nd oldest neighborhood in New Orleans (founded 1719; French Quarter founded 1718)! The best view of the French Quarter can arguably be seen from this side of the river on the levee. Take a stroll through this small but vibrant neighborhood, where you can find many architectural gems. Algiers Point has its own unique personality compared to the rest of New Orleans and was actually governed independent from New Olreans from 1840-1870.

This cache may not be accessible during the rainy season, as it is located on the batture of the MS River and can easily flood.
If you are arriving by ferry: $2/person each way in exact change. Pedestrians and bicyclists only. Hours vary, but here are the general hours.

If you are arriving by vehicle: There are a couple parking lots near by, but these usual require fees. Its not too hard to find parking in the residential areas.
