La caserma blindata al Paùl di Vestreno, situata a poca distanza dal paese, è una struttura facente parte della Frontiera Nord, in particolare del complesso difensivo del Monte Legnoncino. Fu costruita durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale, sia per fronteggiare un'eventuale invasione austriaca, sia per dare lavoro alla popolazione provata dalla guerra. La struttura poteva ospitare un centinaio di soldati, ed era protetta da postazioni di artiglieria. Il lato da cui sarebbe potuta arrivare un'invasione era protetto da un terrapieno, rendendo così la caserma invisibile al nemico. La caserma è raggiungibile in circa 10 minuti dal bacino idrico di Vestreno. È possibile visitare l'interno della caserma, facendo attenzione dato che la struttura è pericolante.
La cache è un contenitore delle dimensioni di un portarullino, nascosta sul muro esterno della caserma. Contiene logbook e matita. Buona ricerca.
The armored barracks al Paùl in Vestreno, located a short distance from the village, is a structure that forms part of the North Frontier, in particular the defensive complex of Monte Legnoncino. It was built during the First World War, either to deal with an Austrian invasion or to give work to the war-torn population. The facility could accommodate a hundred soldiers, and was protected by artillery stations. The side from which an invasion could arrive was protected by an embankment, making the barracks invisible to the enemy. The barracks can be reached in about 10 minutes from the Vestreno water basin. You can visit the inside of the barracks, be careful since the structure is not 100% safe.
The cache is a container of the size of a film canister, hidden along the outer wall of the barracks. It contains logbook and pencil. Happy geocaching.
