I cannot say how many times I have driven past here before and never noticed this! I found out about it doing some research and knew I had to check it out. It is definitely a very fascinating and mysterious building.
For one, it sits all by itself with no other headstones or burials around. Two, it is right next to a baseball field! I hope you find it as interesting as I did.
The posted coordinates will take you to the front of the mausoleum. There are only two ways to access it:
1. Traveling on US222 South, take the Penn Avenue-West exit. On the exit road, you will be able to turn into the driveway in front of the mausoleum. This way will work ONLY if you are traveling on 222 South.
2. Any other direction, you will have to navigate through the back roads of Wyomissing Hills to Hill Side Road. From there, you will turn onto a side road and park next to the baseball field.
The Puzzle:
A=How many stained glass windows do you count around the entire perimeter of the mausoleum? Note that most of them are covered by cages. It will be a two digit number. A is the sum of the two digits.
The rest of the questions will be answered by investigating the front of the mausoleum
B=Find the Bible scripture from Chapter 5. B is the number of letters in the seventh word.
C=Last digit of the year on the cornerstone near the door PLUS number of columns.
D=Find the Bible scripture from Chapter 11. D is the number of letters in the twelfth word MINUS the number of lions on the front doors.
E=How many words make up the name of the mausoleum displayed above the columns? E is the number of words PLUS one.
F=Find one of the panels with the cross and other symbols. How many flowers do you count on the panel? It will be a two digit number. F is the first digit.
