This woodland is known as Coed Doctor as it once belonged to a local doctor, Dr Lloyd Williams.
There is evidence of small-scale quarrying within the woods. This was carried out by local farmers who realised that slate was a good roofing material for farm buildings.
Coed Doctor is now a haven for plants and wildlife. The most common tree is the Sessile Oak. The variety of habitats are home to many animals and birds. There are up to 6 species of bat living in the woodland.
This geocache is hidden in one of the lesser-known parts of Coed Doctor.
