At approximately 1100 feet above sea level, this area has highest elevation of the Trans Canada Highway on the Island of Newfoundland.
I remember as a kid a sign indicating this fact was posted in this general vicinity. The sign went missing many years ago and was never replaced. Grandson Clark and I thought it would be a nice location for a geocache to acknowledge the area again.
The cache is a peanut butter type container with a screw on top. It contains only a log sheet and a small pencil.
