Exit
The mill that supported the families here,
Shutting its doors caused layoffs I fear.
So families have packed and moved away,
Without work there was no sense to stay.

In those days gone by when we were young,
‘Twas here a school anthem was lustily sung.
But Dad’s job has gone so they've moved away,
No longer are there as many kids left here to play.

And so now the exit to the circle remains so still,
No excited shouting heard as toward it kids spill.
It stands now like an old fence without a gate,
The happy sounds of children is now obviate.
