Spy vs. Spy: A Case of International Espionage Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Buckandi: Sadly, I am archiving this, because it is rarely solved, and the escape room business that inspired the cache has closed. Also, this parking lot is a nightmare these days. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

NOTE: The cache IS NOT located at the above coordinates!

Due to recent global turmoil, leading espionage organizations across the globe are on high alert, each trying to give their nation an upper hand in the arena of international intelligence.

The rumor of a new super computer virus that could disrupt all global communications, both commercial and top secret, began to circulate. As a result, five nations have sent out their most elite master spys on a high priority mission, each representing one of the top intelligence agencies in the world. The five agencies are the GRU (Glavnoye Razvedyvatel'noye Upravleniye) or military intelligence service of the Russian Republic, the FederationInter-Service Intelligence (ISI) from Pakistan, the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) from the United Kingdom, the Ministry of State Security (MSS) from China, and the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) from India. Each spy is tasked with poisoning a master computer scientist from a rival nation whom they think is behind the super virus. While traveling, some of them cross paths, although they do not recognize one another, because each travels under an assumed identity. Each spy is an expert in a particular area of international undercover operations. Use the following clues to determine the first and last alias name of each spy, their spy agency, the poison that they plan to use, and their special area of skill. No two spys share the same name, agency, poison, or skill.

First Names: Dante, Eamon, Gareth, Hakan, Ivan
Last Names: Ariba, Bahira, Javier, Nadu, Pernell
Poisons: Cyanide, Polonium, Ricin, Sarin, Strychnine
Agencies: GRU, ISI, MI6, MSS, RAW
Skills: Computer Hacking, Disguise, Martial Arts, Languages, Weaponry

1. Neither the spy who used polonium (who is not the disguise expert) nor the one with excellent martial arts skills (who does not use cyanide and is not with ISI) is surnamed Pernell (who is neither Eamon nor Gareth).

2. Both Dante and Mr. Javier boarded in Istanbul and deplaned in Singapore; the disguise specialist and the strychnine user flew from Moscow to London; the flight of the RAW intelligence agent (who is not surnamed Bahira) was from Jerusalem to Karachi.

3. The GRU master spy (who does not have special martial arts expertise) and the computer hacker (who uses neither polonium nor cyanide) used either the ricin and strychnine in some order, or are surnamed Pernell and Nadu, in some order; only one of these alternatives is true, the other is false for both spies.

4. Ivan is neither the MSS cyanide user nor Mr. Nadu; and the weaponry specialist is not one of the three previous spys.

5. Neither Hakan (who is neither the language specialist nor the computer hacker) nor Mr. Bahira (who is not Ivan, who is not the strychnine user) is affiliated with either ISI or is the MI6 spy (who is not Gareth).

6. Of the polonium user and the weaponry specialist (who is not Gareth, who is not the strychnine user), one is Mr. Ariba and the other is associated with GRU (who is not Dante).

7. The language specialist is either Mr. Nadu or the spy that works for RAW (who is neither Eamon, who is not the ricin user, nor Gareth.)

8. The spy who uses sarin (who is not with RAW) is not the computer hacker (who is neither surnamed Ariba nor Nadu).

9. Mr. Nadu is not the master of disguise.

10. The MI6 spy is surnamed neither Javier nor Ariba (who does not use strychnine).

The following diagram can be used to help solve the logic problem:
