Il Bivacco anticamente era un alpeggio abbandonato da decenni. Il "Gruppo amici della Val Moriana" ha ristrutturato nel 1999 questa baita e ha costruito un posto tappa dotato di 9 posti letto, affidandolo al CAI di Macugnaga. Il bivacco, non custodito ma sempre aperto, è dotato di stufa a legna, coperte e acqua nelle vicinanze, fungendo da ottimo punto di appoggio per le escursioni nella valle Moriana, consigliabili solo ad escursionisti esperti. Consente soprattutto di mantenere vivo un luogo di affascinante e selvaggia solitudine, che sarebbe stato altrimenti destinato a sicuro oblio.
The Bivouac was once a pasture abandoned for decades. The "Friends of Val Moriana" group restructured this cabin in 1999 and built a stopover with 9 beds, entrusting it to the CAI of Macugnaga. The bivouac, not guarded but always open, is equipped with a wood stove, blankets and water nearby, serving as an excellent starting point for excursions in the Moriana valley, recommended only for expert hikers. Above all, it allows to keep alive a place of fascinating and wild solitude, which would otherwise have been destined for sure oblivion.
