[RO] Biserica din Rugănești, declarată monument istoric, este unul dintre cele mai vechi lăcașuri religioase din județul Harghita, fiind construită la mijlocul secolului al XIII-lea, din piatră și cărămidă și înconjurată, în Evul Mediu, cu un zid înalt din piatră.
Forma actuală a dobândit-o prin renovările și construcțiile efectuate în secolele al XVIII-lea și al XIX-lea. În 1871, cu ocazia unor renovări, s-au descoperit fresce pictate în secolul al XV-lea. Potrivit istoricilor, partea cea mai veche a bisericii este cea vestică a navei, construită în stil românesc târziu. În secolul al XV-lea i s-a adăugat sanctuarul cu ferestre cu ogive, ridicat în stil gotic, iar bolta bisericii, ce datează din 1983, este făcută din lemn.
[EN] The Ruganesti Church, declared a historical monument, is one of the oldest religious sites in Harghita County, being built in the middle of the 13th century, made of stone and brick and surrounded in the Middle Ages with a high stone wall.
The present form was achieved by renovations and constructions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. In 1871, on the occasion of renovations, frescoes painted in the 15th century were discovered. According to historians, the oldest part of the church is the western part of the ship, built in late Romanian style. In the fifteenth century, it was added to the sanctuary with ogive windows, built in Gothic style, and the church vault, dating back to 1983, is made of wood.
