Kamniška Bistrica, najbolj urbanizirana reka v Sloveniji, s svojim sistemom mlinščic predstavlja zeleno os regije s pomembno ekološko in rekreacijsko funkcijo. Gre za območje reke od njenega izvira v kamniških planinah, njenega toka po Kamniško bistriški ravnini skozi Kamnik, Domžale in Dol pri Ljubljani, do sotočja treh rek: Save, Kamniške Bistrice in Ljubljanice.

Nahajate se ob novi brvi čez reko Kamniško Bistrico. Malo stran pa teče radomeljska Mlinščica, ki je ena od najstarejših do danes ohranjenih mlinščic na območju gorenjske regije.
ENGLISH: Kamniška Bistrica, the most urbanized river in Slovenia, with its system of millraces represents the region's green axis with significant ecological and recreational function. It is an area of the river from its source in the Kamnik Alps, along to its current Kamnik Bistrica through Kamnik, Domžale and Dol near Ljubljana, the confluence of three rivers: the Sava, Kamnik Bistrica and the Ljubljanica.
You are at new footbridge across the Kamniška Bistrica river. Not far from here is the Radomlje Millstream, which is one of the oldest millstreams in the Gorenjska region.
