Geocache Description:

A small cache placed near a bench commemorating Craig Hutchison, who lost his life near here in July 2008. There is limited car parking by the roadside and the cache is situated towards the lochside, with fine views down the loch towards Ardvreck Castle. The cache is a click and lock plastic box. The original contents are a Carabiner Travel Bug, a fluorescent Dinosaur, 3 magnets (a red one, a green one and a sun one). There is a logbook and 2 pencils and a sharpener.

The cache is a short walk from the limited parking adjacent to the A837 road to Lochinver and next to Loch Assynt. The Loch itself is situated amidst some spectacular mountain scenery. It was this location that attracted Craig to the area. Craig was an adventurer who loved this and all remote places. It is sometimes wild and unpredictable, but it also has great beauty and peace. The site is worth the visit for the scenery alone, but it is extra special as a memorial to a fine young man, who loved adventure and excitement. He would be pleased to see other people experience the majesty of this place.
