Geocache Description:

A challenging microcache that is hidden in West Oaks Cemetery.

West Oaks Cemetery

While this cemetery is relatively "new" for our area (the oldest burial is recorded in 1962), it is quite a large cemetery with a lot of beautiful headstones.  There are also a large number of armed forces veterans buried here with their families.  Most of the veterans we saw served in the Korean War.  While not particularly historical, this cemetery is still worth visiting to pay your respects to those that served our great country.

Also while we were there, we noticed a triple headstone for the Martindale family.  I personally have never seen a triple headstone before.  On the back of the headstone, there were three quotes - one for each person buried.  This is truly was inspired us to place this cache here.

The first quote: "If you could see where I am, you wouldn't cry."
The second quote: "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure."
The third quote: "If you love something, let it go. If it comes back it's yours to keep."

A headstone this beautiful shows the affection that the family had for these people.
