This was a place i visited many times in my childhood, as my grandparents lived not too far away. Actually not much has changed since then, lion still needs eyes, the alley looks like it needs a facelifting, but it is still a hidden gem, with the concrete statue and the surrounding old unique houses
There is a twin alley just to the north "Simta Almonit" meaning anonymous alley, and tales about how these streets received such strange names. Mainly about an argument between mayor Dizengoff and Meir Getzel Shapira the builder of the houses here who wanted a street named after him or his wife
