Since this is my most visited cache, it is ok if you photolog and not physically log. I'd rather postpone the next time i have to replace the miniature logsheet ;-)
Cache is hidden under the bench, you can sit closer to the north side of the bench and try and reach with your hand where the metal part is. Be stealthy and after putting back, please sit and relax few more minutes, enjoy the sea!
About the place: The square was first called Casino because there was a casino right on the beach here in the 1920s, and officially Herbert Samuel Sq. In the 1930s hotel San Remo was built in the corner. In 1945 Kesem cinema was established next to the hotel. After 1948 name of square was changed to HaKnesset because in the Kesem cinema building the first Knesset parliament meetings were held for nearly a year.
In 1958 the cimena building became the opera house, hence Opera Square.
The opera tower standing here today instead of those two historic buildings, was built in the early 1990s, in the American postmodernic style
