FSC-2017 Becks Pond

Cache Details:
Becks Pond is open Dawn to Dusk.

Description:
Becks Pond was leased to New Castle County by the Game and Fish Commissioners in the mid- 1950s. It is now jointly managed by New Castle County and the Division of Fish and Wildlife. The County has developed a park on the eastern shoreline of the 26 acre pond and provides ample parking, and recreational facilities including playground equipment, restrooms (port-a-potty), picnic tables, grills, and gazebos there. There is no admission fee to the park. The area is maintained by the County as far as parking, mowing and trash collection.

There is a boat ramp, but gasoline motors on fishing boats are prohibited by the County. Here you might hook a bluegill, crappie, largemouth bass, pumpkinseed sunfish, or yellow perch. The Division of Fish and Wildlife manages the fish populations within the pond, such as the restricted size and bag limits for largemouth bass.
