About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

About St. Lawrence Station

St. Lawrence was the temporary terminus of the branch from 1897 until the terminus at Ventnor Town was opened on 1st June 1900. The station is located at the base of a steep cliff face, wedged between the cliff and a public road. Rock falls were common in the early years until the undergrowth had grown.

A short siding served a small goods yard on the apposite side of the St. Lawrence Chute overbridge.

The station was originally named Ventnor (St. Lawrence) and was renamed St. Lawrence on the opening of Ventnor Town. The station was downgraded to an unstaffed in 1927.
