We've heard it told that a beast like no other has been seen roaming this area. Some say that it moves along the ground, quick as a rabbit through a thicket, while others claim to have heard it moving through the trees like the wind. On nights when the moon is full, you can hear its haunting call echo across the waters. Whatever the case, it's best that you come prepared lest you are never seen again.
While the reports of this beast are far and few between, it's rumored that this island is the last place the creature was spotted. The report goes on to say that the creature seemed somewhat docile here, resting quietly and seeming uninterested in the goings on around it. If you're stealthy enough, you might get lucky and spy the beast resting on the shores, or sunning itself amidst the trees.
Update 10/18/2021 - There are rumors that the beast may have moved on which may be good for future visitors, but it's recommended that you remain vigilant as it might come back at any time. The treasure it was holding - that which you seek - is still there, waiting to be found.
The river has many shallow spots, big rocks, and plenty of rapids. Powered boats will not work in most parts of the river here, you will need kayaks or some sort of non-powered boat. Winter ice conditions are unknown, but not recommended.
These caches are ALL in potentially dangerous locations and seeking them is done at your own risk! Legal entry points are listed as waypoints and the ratings reflect the need to travel a significant distance on water. Other entry points will likely be trespassing on private property. We strongly recommend bringing friends for these.
