The Woodland Waterway Mosaics Mystery Cache

Take a stroll along the trail on the north side of The Woodlands Waterway and admire the 9 large intricate tile mosaics under the bridge. Solve the puzzle in the cache description for the coordinates for the final.

The listed coordinates are at the top of the stairs leading from the street to the path along the Waterway.

A series of 9 large tile mozaic murals designed by Dixie Friend Gay, an internationally acclaimed artist, were placed in 2009 along the trail that runs along the underside of the bride that crosses The Woodland Waterway. Parking is available near the bridge in designated places along the area's streets as well as at an obvious pull-off near the final. Coordinates for the final can be solved by applying the following formula for the flora and fauna found within the murals. Please note: The final is located approximately 1.9 miles from the listed coordinates. The formula is:  N 30 10.3AB W095 29.2CD.

For A, if you see a Deer, A = 0, a Rabbit, A= 2, A Raccoon, A = 7.

For B, if you see a Fox, B = 5, a Squirrel, B = 0, A Mouse, B = 2

For C, if you see a Northern Cardinal, C = 1, a Bald Eagle, C = 6, a Belted Kingfisher, C = 4

For D, if you see a Wood Duck, D = 1, a Canadian Goose, D = 3, a Trumpeter Swan, D = 8
