Geocache Description:


This cache is situated in Carrick, Manitoba on the grounds of the old Spurgrave School that was open from 1908 to 1966. It is a municipally designated historic site that long-time community residents still remember fondly as a place for learning and playing. The cache is represented by a schoolhouse monument under the flagpole as a way to celebrate the history on these grounds. Carrick Park is also home to Carrick Days, a mid-August festival that includes the region’s legendary horseshoe tournament.
