El Lugar
El Puerto San Carlos de Bariloche se ubica en el Lago NAHUEL HUAPI, el cual es considerado el más importante por sus características y movimiento navegatorio, se ubica en el Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi y abarca una superficie de 557 kilómetros cuadrados, cuyo nombre es de origen Mapuche y traducido al español significa: "NAHUEL" (Tigre) y "HUAPI" (Isla).
El Arquitecto D. PRIMO CAPRARO construye frente a la ciudad de San Carlos de Bariloche el muelle Puerto Bariloche en 1935 y posteriormente en el año 1936 se bota la motonave "MODESTA VICTORIA" que navega hasta Puerto Blest, desde donde se realiza navegación comercial, importándose lana y madera desde la República de Chile. Posteriormente y debido a un maremoto el muelle se destruye en su totalidad.
El 13 de julio de 1991, se inauguran provisoriamente las actividades portuarias en el sector de la dársena deportiva completándose hacia fines de octubre, el coronamiento de sus muelles y demás infraestructura portuaria.
