A film canister cache, camouflaged for it's environment. Beside the cornfields and Speen Moors, along the footpath which leads to a mediaeval quarry.
We chose to place our first geocache here, in an interesting place, that we discovered on one of our walks. Just beyond the cache site, there is a very large pit in the woods, which the kids thought was probably an alien crash site. It is however, believed to be a mediaeval quarry, perhaps used for the building of nearby monastery. A fun place to see and run around, perhaps even play at Peter Duncan and Timothy Dalton in Flash Gordon. Please leave the cache as you found it after logging your visit and let us know if there are any issues with it or its site, so we can keep it fun for everyone. Great to see people find it, but a little information on your visit would be good to hear. Congratulations to Wellieweed and nickcee for being first to find.
