安平區漁光島早期稱為「三鯤鯓」，因台江內海逐漸淤積而形成，早期民眾可以從觀夕平台附近出入社區，近幾年挖開舊港道後，只能經由漁光大橋出入，成為一座「離島」，因居民夜間駕船出海捕魚時，海上每艘漁船都有一盞燈，漁光點點，因此被稱為「漁光島」。
興盛一時的「秋茂園」，就在今天的漁光島，原由日僑黃秋茂獨資經營，不收門票，曾經遊客如織，是不少老台南人的童年記憶，後疏於管理漸漸沒落。
The Yuguang Island its old name was 「三鯤鯓」, it's located on western edge of Tainan City.
There has a Clock Tower on there, when you walk near the sea, you can see the fishing boat arrival or leave the port.
