Geocache Description:

Three Sisters Spring is a well known hangout in Crystal River. It has special geology, as all springs do, but is widely recognized due to another feature- the manatees that can be found in and near it's waters. You have two choices for access- you can access the location by foot or float, but you can't go from one to the other. The virtual cache is available to both, but with different requirements. I will determine what the ultimate cache terrain rating is from the first 50 finders. Cache logging requirements: 1. Include in your log the number of manatees present 2. Post any pictures you'd like in your log! 3. How you accessed the cache- by land or by sea Email verification: All finders must email the following answers to me within 3 days of logging the cache or I will delete your find. No exceptions will be given, and no explanation is needed. By land: 1. How many degrees is the water? 2. How many springs in the area? By sea: 1. How many of the sister springs can you swim in? 2. How many posts block the entrance to the spring? 3. Is it colder in the spring or bay? Use the waypoints to help guide your access. More information can be found at threesistersspringsvisitor.org. The cache is available daily 8:30 - 4:30. and has controlled visitation. All visitors must abide by the rules and directions given by site officials. Land visitors must pay admission of $20.00 during the winter season or $12.50 in the summer. Water access is presently free.
