Geocache Description:

In 1994 a dedicated group of Rotarians had a dream of a Suspension Bridge across the Ranney Gorge and committed $50,000 to the project. When funding ran out the project was put on hold until the Engineers from 8th Wing CFB Trenton decided they would actually build the Bridge for the Rotarians as a Military exercise. The bridge became a reality and ground breaking began on Set. 3, 2002. The bridge was completed Dec. 18, 2003 with the grand opening and dedication of the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge taking place June 23, 2004.
As you cross the 300 foot span, you will be 30’ above the water. Take in the beautiful views, feel the bridge swing as you walk and look for signs of lovers "locking in their love" at this beautiful location. May their love last longer than the writing on their locks.
The views are spectacular at any time but are especially memorable on an early summer morning when a bit of mist rises off the gorge. It’s also a great place to take in fall colours in late September and early October.

At the posted coordinates, look for the markings B3821 and note the numbers in the box at the lower left corner.
You must then cross the 300’ span to the second location and locate the markings SOC16. Note the numbers directly below this.
To claim this virtual cache you must send the 2 sets of numbers to the CO.
This Virtual Cache is part of a limited release of Virtuals created between August 24, 2017 and August 24, 2018. Only 4,000 cache owners were given the opportunity to hide a Virtual Cache. Learn more about Virtual Rewards on the Geocaching Blog.
